Friday miscellany

Conflux 6 starts today... and I have somehow been press-ganged into entering an audience-judged romance-writing contest.  When it comes to romance writing, I'm as well-equipped as a balsawood submarine...

... ASIM 41 and ASIM 42 are now apparently both in existence, but won't be generally available for another couple of weeks yet (so as to give ASIM 40 a decent run as 'current issue')...

... and, in several time zones, it's still Support Our 'Zines Day.  (I'm sure it was called 'Save Our 'Zines Day' a couple of weeks back, but maybe I'm mistaken?)

I could say something sensible on each of these topics.  But instead, I present you with two pieces of quasi-instrumental YouTubery: an animal-noise version of Ludwig van Beethoven's Fur Elise

and a computer-monitor orchestra's rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

(Both of these were snurched from recent entries on the Improbable Research blog).

Enjoy.  Or something.
